Overview
Anchor's End was built by Chelish settlers and intended to be another colony for Cheliax Empire. It flourished well especially thanks to the marble trade and slave smuggling activities, in addition to the gold and silver riches on the mountain and some river. Unfortunately, two disasters struck. First, the undead hordes rose from the north, wiping out the sister colony and most of the Hell Knights. Second, the Ravounel's rebellion seems to influenced faraway continent of Arcadia. There is also the third unspoken disaster, since some opined that it is highly related to the two disasters in recent years: the drop of human resources.
In the past, there are no shortage of competent individuals, in quality and quantity, to tackle any problems of the colony and beyond. Currently, there are only few left behind. The city itself has many empty and abandoned buildings, and several industries just failed to function properly. Unrest is brewing, and the benevolent Order of Tenacious Lament has their hand full with external and internal threats. The great colony has crumbled, but from the ashes rose several tiny fledgling colony-wannabe, dotting around The City.
The City still offers the best services available, but even that does not mean you can buy any products easily. The market is unstable, and the goods are either expensive or in low supplies; not that there are much demands as well. And it is quite a wonder to hear that Pathfinder Society is preparing to open the Arcadia Lodge for a new branch of Arcadia Recon Charter. There have been no adventurers here for quite a long time, and I wonder what will this new breeze bring to this forgotten colony.

Commerce and Life
Despite having the population dwindling due to various reasons, this city is still a nice place to stay; if one could keep in mind that this is a fledgling colony on faraway home. Yes, this city has lost many of her industry and productions, but there are still enough farms, enough fishermen, enough --- everything. You can expect, with some luck and time and extra silver, to buy almost anything here. When there were many adventurers back then, we can expect to see some of the rarer goods change hands too. But now there are almost no adventurers left, so some business died out too.
About life, well, there's the taverns here and there, with cheap booze or wine or mead, and once in a while a traveling bard or circus appear, so all's well. Card and board games quite popular, and if people got really bored, there is always a good bar brawl, if you know the place. Huh? Education? What is it?
Oh right, there are also things called 'compounds' here, basically like large complex owned by someone important. They have their own laws there, and even the Hell Knights tread carefully and respect their local law. If you ask me, I'd rather have the Hell Knights ruling the place, but pity their numbers.
So to sum up, although not a plenty, we have enough of everything here to survive. Barely surviving, but survive nevertheless.
