{The Egg}
Among the chaos of Goblinblood Wars, two halflings were purchased together along with other halfling by Cheliax's House Thrune to serve the Church of Asmodeus in Isger, became the caretaker for the orphanage. The two worked hard in doing the task without complaining, and somehow gain the favor of the Asmodeus's priest there, which made them gain a certain degree leeway. In the midst of it, even under the nose of the worshiper, the two fall in love. Fortunately-- or unfortunately, the halfling woman got pregnant and they decided to keep it until born. Fearing that the fate of their child to be the same as them from born, they decided to keep it as secret.

The couple could successfully hid the woman pregnancy until the girl who was named as Bridgette born. But the secret didn't last long, the birth of Bridgette was found shortly. They angered the people there. The couple was severely punished in public as a show for other servant there. The woman, who was just having a birth not too long after then, dead in the process of the punishment. The man, with the last generosity of the church, was allowed to raise Bridgette.

Bridgette was raised in hardship, yet, raised well enough to survive through. She lost her father when she was five. From there on, she was raised to be the caretaker of the orphanage and was instilled the doctrine of Asmoedeus. Her view was then constructed to put herself to obey the law, obey the powerful, and must not think for herself. But because of mingling with other halflings there, her small halfling heart still knew what a compassion toward other. Bridgette grew up with doubt, thinking that things were not supposed to be like that.

{The Caterpillar}
One time when Bridgette was 9 years old, a Champion of Desna came to the Church of Asmodeus. Sneaking to the place where the slaves or servants are. The Champion asked Bridgette and other servants whether they want to be freed or not. The old ones didn't want to have anything with freedom again then, their fire had already dimmed. They just urged the young ones like Bridgette to go with the Champion. Fueled with the seed of doubt from the time she was there, Bridgette decided to disobey the rule for the first time and follow the suggestion of the old ones, albeit still with hestitation. Bridgette escaped from the church with the Champion.

Having nowhere to go, Bridgette just follow the Champion around. The Champion didn't mind it, and just let Bridgette following around. The Champion teach her about all sort of things like, about Desna, about how to survive on the road, about how to protect one self, and many others.

The Champion brought along Bridgette along in a journey for doing The Champion's cause. Having a soft side, the Champion make some detour, showing Bridgette around to see many halfling cultures. Going to Molthune seeing how halfling slave can still gain freedom and also seeing dexterous halflings artisan communities in Canorate. Going to Nirmathas seeing how people really valued freedom. Going to Nidal seeing how people can't freely appreciate art and such and also seeing how the Whispered Song comfort the oppressed. Going to Cheliax seeing how halfling was treated worse than dog and also seeing communities of halfling in Egorian underworld.

Each of the places Bridgette gone to, teach her new things. With constant guidance of the Champion, Bridgette learn how to spread the teaching of Desna. Meeting the Whispered Song in Nidal, making Bridgette learned about the magical song of Desna to give hope and salvation to the opressed and hopeless. Learning how people open up to the teaching of Desna in Nirmathas, made Bridgette experienced the happiness in spreading Desna's love. And learning how hard or even dangerous to get the teaching across in Cheliax, made Bridgette understood the hardship of teaching. Each of those shape what Bridgette view of the world then.

Unfortunately, those journey together didn't last forever. Along the way, Bridgette and the Champion slowly understand that their ideas about things around were different then. For the sake of it, both of them decided to separate path along the way. Bridgette was left to continue the task that she started alone.

The path of teaching alone, is not a nice thing to be experienced, especially as Halfling alone in Cheliax territory like Bridgette then. Bridgette tried really hard to lay low unnoticed by the public eyes. She would only be slandered as a thief with the belongings she got from the Champion if she was seen. She practically had to act like a criminal just to move around. Things weren't as easy as when she was with the Champion which she could just pretend like an owned of slave of the Champion.

She tried really hard to spread the teaching, but unfortunately, her abilities to cope up with the situation didn't really up for it. The hopelessness she felt in Cheliax made her resolve waver and just want to left Cheliax altogether, looking for other companion to help her. She wanted to escape from Cheliax. And to do that, she went to Egorian, meeting the halfling communities there to help her smuggled out of Cheliax.

In Egorian, it was not easy either. It was difficult to differentiate halflings who care about other halflings to halflings who're not. Bridgette made a huge mistake that day, she found herself pleading for help to a halfling lapdog who informed about Bridgette to the halfling's master. Bridgette was hunted, she was considered as a runaway slave and a heretic as well.

Fortunately, Bridgette was saved at the nick of time. A halfling, who wore blue bellflower symbol on her, saved Bridgette. The halfling then gave Bridgette encouragement to keep on going, and eventually, told Bridgette to go to Kintargo. Bridgette was informed about the fact that Kintargo had already changed, and maybe less dangerous than the rest of Cheliax.

Bridgette went to Kintargo, following the bellflower halfling suggestion. She found herself troubled passing the border due to the recent event at Kintargo. But a somewhat shady figures came to offer a help. The shady figure also told Bridgette about a new shred of opportunity for her at faraway land, Arcadia. With the motivation of spreading Desna teaching before any other vile teaching come in the new land, while also doing the teaching of Desna that is exploring new place. Bridgette resolved herself to go to join the Pathfinder Society - Arcadia Recon Charter, and with full consciousness accept the terms on the spot. She then headed to Kintargo with the shady figure, getting ready for the long voyage to Arcadia.
