The Factions of Big LandingBig Landing has its own Mayor and Councils, but many important decisions passess through the three factions, the real power behind the town’s bureaucracy. The three factions manage to maintain balance despite the intense rivalry, at least for the time being. Other factions exist with varying influence. You can obtain basic information on each factions using Gather Information check at Anchor’s End or at Big Landing (Untrained DC 10). There are no Critical Success for this check, but a failure might lead you to inaccurate information.

Getting Around
Basic information regarding the region generally can be found by spending a gather information check (untrained DC10) at Anchor’s End or Big Landing itself. Detailed information on the factions can generally be found on trained gather information of DC15. There are no critical failure or critical success for this check. If you never participated in a session in Glimmer Coast, you must first gather information about Glimmer Coast before having the knowledge to visit. HousingShould you decide to have a permanent or semi-permanent stay at Big Landing, the followings are the option you can choose: SubsistenceYou live at a small shack or shanty at the poorest part of the town or empty corner of a warehouse at the main port. The food is low quality and you often have to fish or scavenge to complement your meal. Weekly: 2sp Monthly: 1gp Yearly: 12gp 5 days package: 15cp 10 days package: 3sp( You cannot sustain yourself properly with Society skill. If you do, there's a risk of losing some of your belongings, penalized or worse. You need to contact the Dedicated DM if you are attempting.) ComfortableYou live at a small cabin, a small inn room or a clean boarding room. The food is basic quality but are filling and has more variety. FineYou live in a nice house, a luxurious inn room or a seaside villa. The food is good quality, fresh, healthy and delicious. Weekly: 30gp Monthly: 130gp Yearly: 1600gp 5 days package: 25gp 10 days package: 50pNote: Extravagant housing is currently not available.
Items and SuppliesBuying and selling common goods or supplies in Big Landing generally not a difficult task. However, almost all merchants in the town are affiliated to either one of the three factions. If you keep dealing with one particular faction more than the other, it might be seen as sign of favoritism. This may ease your dealing with the faction you favored, but more difficult with the faction you don’t conduct a trade with. Each factions also have a different list of supplies they can provide, making decision as to whom you want to conduct a trade is important. Topographers Association Pioneers: Adventuring Gear, Consumables, Snares, Weapons, Crafting Materials (Weapons only), Held Items, Worn Items. Dealmakers Arbitrageurs Traders: Adventuring Gear, Alchemical Items, Consumables, Crafting Materials, Held Items, Worn Items, Fundamental Runes Allied Settlers Society: Adventuring Gear, Armor, Consumables, Shields, Crafting Materials (Armor and Shields only), Held Items, Worn Items. Before buying or selling goods, a PC must spend few hours of perusing the city utilizing the Gather Information activity and must decide which factions from the Three Factions you wish to trade with. Please follow the DC of the table, with the Task Level equals to the item you want to buy or sell, and task difficulty is Normal for Common item. When you finished trading with a faction, the DC to find merchants from that faction becomes Easy (-2), while the DC to find merchants from other factions becomes Hard (+2).Critical SuccessPC can buy the goods at normal price, or sell the goods at 50% base price. SuccessPC can buy the goods at normal price, or sell the goods at 30% base price. FailurePC can buy the goods at 150% price, or sell the goods at 30% base price. Critical FailurePC can buy the goods at double price and cannot sell anything. Update 5Items made of wood or related to Wood asset has base price of 80% than the normal base price, including crafting materials as long as you craft them in Glimmer Coast. However, the method of purchase remains the same as above. Note: When selling multiple items, use the item with the highest level to determine the DC. You cannot sell more than 5 item categories in a single attempt. Currently, you can only purchase or sell items with level equal or lower than Big Landing’s current level (4). Only fundamental runes for weapons and armors are available, at base cost of 120%. Other types of runestones still not available.

Other Settlements
The followings are known smaller settlements around Glimmer Coast region. They are still largely dependant of Big Landing. In game terms, these are Common DM assets manage by different Common DMs.
Runic Island Runic Island is one of many islands surrounding the Glimmer Coast. There's small hamlet that is located in that island. It supports wood and small iron production as there is a forest with good quality woods as well as a small mine. The woodcutters and miners always go to their work places and return together as the predators of the wild might taking prey to lonesome individuals.
The denizen got their food mainly by hunting and fishing. While there's small farmland, fruits and vegetables mainly transported from Big Landing.
Near Runic Island, there's other two islands that still undiscovered and untouched. The path to those islands kinda hard for bigger ships as there's rock formations around.

Merlin's Magical MenagerieWelcome to my humble shop adventurer. My name is Merlin and I can help you find wands, staves or spell scrolls that suited your need. You can also craft your own wand and staff or scribe your own scrolls here in my workshop at reasonable cost. Be careful when attempting to craft your own items, because it takes a while to clean up the mess. Here's what you need to know: 1. No uncommon or rarer wands, staves or spell scrolls available for purchase. 2. Wands, staves or scrolls of level 7 or lower is readily available for purchase at 90% of the standard price. 3. You can craft wands, staves or scrolls of level 7 or lower in Merlin's Workshop at normal DC. You can purchase the necessary materials from Merlin at 80% of the standard price. 4. You can rent Merlin's woodworking/scribing tools for 2sp per craft. Using this tool lowers the DC to easy (-2). 5. On a critical failure, you also must wait for 5 days before you can try again. 6. You can also pet Fou while you are at Merlin's shop. Boat Of My Own Design (BOMOD)So you want to make a boat for yourself eh? You came to the right place. My name is Darli Dagger and I can help you create your own personal boat. However, there are some rules you must abide, and they are as follows: 1. You can only build a small [Fishing Boat] or a small [Sailing Boat]. You can’t afford bigger ships, they were too expensive and out of your league. 2. Both ships are not ocean worthy and cannot sail to the open sea. They can only sail between Glimmer Coast, Anchor's End and Belfast and can only dock on their port due to regulation. 3. Docking at Anchor’s End and Belfast requires you to follow their colony rules! This including living costs, downtimes and any other activities! ( No benefit beyond mere fluffs, consult only Glimmer Coast for details. )4. [Fishing Boat] costs 50 gold pieces. While [Sailing Boat] costs 500 gold pieces. They are not available for sale directly, you have to craft them with the help of Darli Dagger. That’s the point. 5. You must spend a minimum of 10 days to make any sort of progress in building the boat. You must use Craft skill for this project. Darli can lend you her Woodworking tools for free. The task level is 5 with Normal DC. You don't receive any income, this is YOUR own personal project. Instead of earning income, the value of your successful Craft check goes to the cost of the boat. Once your total result or progress value reach the cost of the boat, then it is completed. 6. [Fishing Boat] is a small vessel that requires a minimum of 1 crew and a maximum of 1 medium sized passenger or smaller. It cannot carry any cargo except for your catch and your own personal items you carry on your person. It grants +1 item bonus to Lore (Fishing) or Survival check to fish. This bonus applies only in Glimmer Coast. 7. [Sailing Boat] is a larger vessel than the [Fishing Boat] that requires a minimum of 2 crew and a maximum of 2 large sized passengers or 8 medium sized passengers or smaller. It can carry light cargo for trading purposes and is not suitable to keep your catch from fishing. It grants +1 item bonus when you use it to trade, such as when you use Bargain Hunter feat or Lore (Mercantilism). It also cuts your living cost by half (available only for the subsistence and comfortable living cost). This bonus applies only in Glimmer Coast. 8. First, state your intention in #downtime-roles by posting Downtime Activity Glimmer Coast: Making Personal Boat. Choose your type of boat then poke Glimmer Coast dedicated DM before rolling. The Black Market
Glimmer Coast's market might be big and varied, but sometimes you can't find the stuff you wish they had. That's why you need to go to the shady right place to find the contraband special goods you're looking for. Enter, the Black Market. This place has no place you can search normally and no seller you can talk to casually. You need to find a good contact, earn their trust as well as a little bribe donation here and there. You can find and buy items that is one level higher than the colony level. Which means you can try to seek [Common] item of level (6+1). The process and rule to find them is as follows: 1. First you need to do a Gather Information activity. The DC is Very Hard DC based on the item level. So a level 7 item would have a DC of 28. If you're at least Trained in Lore (Underworld), the Gather Information DC becomes Hard DC instead. This process takes one day for one item. 2. On a success, you must pay 1 gp informant fee to receive a tip regarding the item whereabouts. After that, you can purchase the item at 110% of the market price. 3. On a failure or critical failure, but not a natural 1, you failed to establish any contact. You wasted one day. 4. On a critical failure due to a natural 1, you got caught by the authority. You spend that day locked up in prison and sent back to Anchor's End. You must wait for 5 days in order to attempt another downtime in Glimmer Coast. Repeat offenders will receive heavier punishment. 5. On a critical success, treats it as if you had a success, but you can purchase the item at normal market price. You also received secret information regarding the Black Market (by PM). 6. Any attempt to reveal the Black Market to the authority will caused a major backlash, to your character. 7. No [Earth] based item can be found in the Black Market, this includes Runestones. This activity is considered unlawful. This activity is available from 27th Calistril. Poke the Dedicated DM in #downtime-rolls, but you can start rolling.
